NEW YORK -- Game on!
After the four-day All-Star break, the New York Mets finally are poised to open the second half against the Philadelphia Phillies on Friday at 7:05 p.m. ET at Citizens Bank Park.
All-Star Bartolo Colon (7-4, 3.28 ERA) gets the start opposite right-hander Jeremy Hellickson (6-6, 3.92).
The Mets hope Yoenis Cespedes will be ready to return to the lineup, although that remains to be determined. Cespedes departed last Friday’s game after three innings with a strained right quadriceps.
