Morning Briefing: It's Matz (and Matzah) day

Matt Harvey wasn’t sharp, but he did earn the win thanks to two homers and a career-high-matching five RBIs from Curtis Granderson. Harvey allowed two runs on seven hits, a walk and a hit batter and required 101 pitches to navigate five innings in an eventual 6-3 win. Yoenis Cespedes threw out Nick Markakis at the plate to end Harvey’s outing. Harvey described the outing as a step in the right direction, while still labeling his mechanics a “work in progress.” Read game recaps in the Post, Daily News, Newsday, Times, Record and at NJ.
