The Mets avenged dropping last week’s home series to the Washington Nationals by taking two of three games at Nationals Park.

“It’s big, because they’ve got a great team,” Mets manager Terry Collins said. “They’re playing good. Especially after they just beat us two out of three at home, to come in here and win a series is huge.
