Triple-A RHP Logan Verrett will rejoin the Mets, with Rafael Montero being sent back to Las Vegas, the team announced Tuesday afternoon.
The Mets added Montero to the 25-man roster to start Monday in place of Jacob deGrom, who will return to the rotation Friday night against the Nationals at Citi Field.
Montero replaced infielder T.J. Rivera, who was sent back to Triple-A Las Vegas. Rivera was hitting .289. with a .282 OBP and .342 SLG in 13 games for the Mets before the demotion.
