MLB.com's Jonathan Mayo is predicting the Mets will select Georgia Tech catching prospect Joey Bart with the sixth pick in the upcoming draft.
Bart, a junior, is hitting .351 -- second-best on his team -- and has 12 home runs and 28 RBIs. His numbers are up from last season, when he hit .296 and led the team with 13 homers and 43 RBIs en route to a spot on the all-ACC second team in his sophomore campaign.
Georgia Tech head coach Danny Hall recently said Bart is "right there" among the best catchers to play for Georgia Tech, along with Jason Varitek and Matt Wieters.
