BINGHAMTON 9, NEW HAMPSHIRE 1: Ricky Knapp set a Double-A career high with eight strikeouts and Phillip Evans produced his second straight three-hit game as Binghamton snapped a three-game skid. A four-run first set the tone. Jonathan Johnson and Evans singled. Amed Rosario singled too and left fielder Dwight Smith Jr. bobbled the ball, allowing Johnson to score the game’s opening run. A bases-loaded walk to Matt Oberste, a passed ball and an RBI groundout from Victor Cruzado accounted for the other runs in the frame.
