Mike Piazza to throw out first pitch of Mets-Yankees finale

Former Mets catcher Mike Piazza will throw out the first pitch at Sunday night's series finale between the Mets and Yankees at Citi Field.

Piazza played in his fair share of Subway Series games over the course of his Mets career from 1998 to 2005. He was involved in perhaps the most notorious moment in the history of the rivalry during the 2000 World Series, when Yankees starter Roger Clemens grabbed a piece a Piazza's shattered bat and threw it at the catcher as he ran down the baseline.

Earlier that year in the regular season, Clemens hit Piazza in the head with a pitch, forcing him to go to the disabled list with a concussion.
