Mike Piazza kicks off Game 3 with ‘doo-doo’ 1st pitch

Mike Piazza was back at the World Series for the Mets on Friday night.

Piazza, who made the final out in the Yankees’ series-clinching Game 5 victory in 2000, threw out the ceremonial first pitch before Game 3.

“It was great, great to hear the fans and see the faces,” Pizza said. “The energy was really, really amazing. Hopefully, it will get us going, get us some runs.”

The Mets of course faced a 2-0 deficit when Piazza made his throw to reserve catcher Kevin Plawecki. Fastball, slider, curve?

“Doo-doo. Scar tissue,” Piazza said laughing.
