Mike Piazza was elected to the Hall of Fame on Wednesday, it was announced on the MLB Network.
Piazza, who was in his fourth year on the ballot, received 83 percent of the vote, of which 75 percent was needed for election.
He will be enshrined in the Hall of Fame alongside Ken Griffey Jr., who received 99.3 percent of the vote, breaking Tom Seaver's record of 98.8 percent. They'll be inducted on Sunday, July 24, at 1:30 p.m in Cooperstown, New York.
