MetsBlog Fan Opinion Poll presented by McDonald's

In the top of the eighth inning on Sunday, Juan Lagares was called out running from second to third base after he successfully avoided a tag from Nolan Arenado, who never touched Lagares and settled for an easier out at first base.

Third-base ump Carlos Torres initially said Lagares was safe at third base. However, second-base ump Rob Drake ruled that Lagares had left the baseline to avoid the tag.

Instead of having runners at second and third with two outs, down one run, and Neil Walker at the plate with a chance to tie the game or put the Mets ahead, the inning ended with the Rockies clinging to a one-run lead they would never relinquish.
