SAN DIEGO -- Noah Syndergaard was not the issue during Friday’s 2-0 loss to the San Diego Padres. The problem was the New York Mets failed to score against left-hander Drew Pomeranz and four Padres relievers.
Still, Syndergaard was not overly enthused by his outing. He allowed two runs on six hits and two walks in six innings. Syndergaard struck out five in a 97-pitch outing. He dropped to 2-2 with a 2.58 ERA.
