PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. -- New York Mets captain David Wright missed four months of last season dealing with spinal stenosis in his lower back. And Mets general manager Sandy Alderson already has set 130 games as the rough estimate for the number of games for Wright to play in 2016.
However, Wright did not necessarily sound like he will be inclined to proactively take too many days off this season, assuming his back is not barking.
Mets manager Terry Collins, Wright and team medical staff plan to sit down next week to try to come to some consensus.
