Mets: Yoenis Cespedes exits Thursday night’s game with left hamstring cramp

During Thursday night’s game against the Philadelphia Phillies, Mets outfielder Yoenis Cespedes suffered a cramp in his left hamstring. The injury apparently happened in the bottom of the fifth inning. Cespedes walked on four pitches to lead off the inning.

Jay Bruce followed Cespedes with a double play ground out. Yo walked off the field gingerly, and we saw head trainer Ray Ramirez talk to him and head down to the club house.

Thankfully, the diagnosis of a left hamstring cramp is better than a pull or strain, obviously. Hopefully this means Cespedes won’t need to miss any time as New York really cannot afford another injury.
