The New York Mets will not trade Steven Matz or Noah Syndergaard. That is, unless, they find themselves completely overwhelmed by an offer.
According to Mike Puma of the New York Post, although both Matz and Syndergaard are hot commodities as the MLB trade deadline nears, Brodie Van Wagenen “would likely have to be overwhelmed by a trade proposal” to deal either starter.
Prior to the 2019 season, Syndergaard’s name has been long-rumored in any deal. Jacob deGrom’s name, prior to the mega-deal, was also in the mix.
