Life has gone from good to Grandy at Citi Field.
The only thing really missing during this wild Mets winning streak and early first-place surge was a few hits from their $60 million right fielder. But Curtis Granderson joined the party Tuesday night and made his hits count.
Granderson went 3-for-5 with four RBIs in leading the Mets to their ninth straight victory, 7-1 over the Braves.
The nine-game winning streak is the Mets’ longest since July 2008, when they were still playing home games at Shea Stadium. The Mets are 11-3 for the first time since 1986 – the year they last won the World Series.
