New York Mets RHP Jacob deGrom is slowly recuperating from an injury suffered on Opening Day, but his progress may need a little more time. On Friday, deGrom throw a light bullpen session in Florida, but the team believes he still needs a few more days to be ready for another start in the Majors.
DeGrom is due up on Tuesday in Philadelphia, and that may not be enough time to fully get him back to 100%. As a result, the Mets are expected to place deGrom on the disabled list as early as today.
DeGrom has been completely inactive at the big league level since his Opening Day start at Citi Field on April 8th.
