The Mets will conduct interviews next week for a new bench coach (Dec. 7. 2015).
Third-base coach Tim Teufel is among the internal candidates being considered for the position, Mets assistant GM John Ricco told reporters on Dec. 4.
Bob Geren, 54, had been the team's bench coach before leaving to the join the Dodgers and new manager Dave Roberts.
Geren joined Terry Collins's bench in 2011. He managed the A's from 2007 to 2011, when current Dodgers GM Farhan Zaidi was an assistant to Billy Beane.
