The Mets will have 10 players and four minor league prospects participate in this year's World Baseball Classic, it was announced Wednesday.
Jeurys Familia, Jose Reyes, and Hansel Robles will represent the Dominican Republic, Rene Rivera, T.J. Rivera and Seth Lugo will play for Puerto Rico, Brandon Nimmo and Gavin Cecchini will play for Italy, Ty Kelly will represent Israel and recently re-acquired Fernando Salas will pitch for Mexico.
Although he considered participating, pitcher Noah Syndergaard will not pitch for Team USA in this year's tournament.
