Dario Alvarez will rejoin the Mets on Wednesday in Philadelphia, manager Terry Collins said prior to the game.
Alvarez has been out since September 15 due to a groin injury.
Alvarez had two scoreless appearances for the Mets right after his callup from the minors, but was hit hard in his next two — allowing four runs on four hits in an inning of work.
Overall, Alvarez has posted a 13.50 ERA and 1.88 WHIP in 2.2 innings (four appearances) for the Mets this season.

Thoughts:
Prior to his injury, it was thought that the Mets might include Alvarez on the postseason roster as their LOOGY (lefty one out guy).
