On Sunday, the Mets wore their 1986 throwback uniforms for the second time this season (I was busy on the first occasion), and I’ve got to say, they look pretty good.
Aside from the pleasurable memories they bring back, I forgot how sharp the uniforms were. The racing stripe along the side might seem cheesy, but they complement the entire look.
The Mets are going to wear the uniforms on every Sunday home game in honor of the 30th anniversary (man, 30 years already) of the Mets 1986 World Series victory.
