Mets want Wilmer Flores to get more minor-league at-bats

NEW YORK -- Wilmer Flores was eligible to return from the disabled list on Friday, but New York Mets officials want him to first get more minor-league at-bats. As a result, Flores is playing a fourth straight day with the Binghamton Mets on Friday. Three of those appearances have come at first base.

Flores is 2-for-11 with a walk so far with the B-Mets. He pronounced himself ready to return from a left hamstring strain after Thursday's Eastern League game, but the call from Queens never came.
