The last two nights I've watch baseball games featuring 4 teams (White Sox, Rays, Brewers and Padres) going nowhere, and as I sat in the half-empty stadiums, I had a very familiar feeling from Mets seasons past.
Of course that is not the case this year as the Mets are knee deep in it, with every day, every inning, every at-bat in games featuring 4-5 NL teams having major meaning.
Tuesday night, Ruben Tejada and Eric Campbell had the big hits to lift the Mets to their fifth straight. Then came to news the Mets gave Alex Torres his walking papers and got another fine Irishman from the A's.
