I was a Daniel Murphy fan. I'll miss him. But, for the first time since Jose Reyes and Luis Castillo, the Mets have two guys up the middle who know their positions, and it's nice to see.
This morning is the first time Asdrubal Cabrera and Neil Walker stood side by side on the infield. Yet, they looked incredibly comfortable.
I watched Flores here as a teenager. I saw Murphy move through the system. And, regardless of countless drills and time on the field together, never in all that time did they ever look as natural and comfortable as Walker and Cabrera, who met for the first time ever today.
