Michael Conforto has the talent to be an impact bat for the Mets, former OF Michael Cuddyer said Thursday, during an interview with MetsBlog's Matthew Cerrone.
"He definitely has the talent to be a middle-of-the-order hitter for a long, long time," said Cuddyer, who played one season with the Mets before retiring this past December.
Cuddyer also said Conforto is humble and eager to learn -- two things that will serve him well as he adjusts to playing his first full season in the big leagues.
"A lot of times in this day and age you'll see a guy who's a first-round pick, who shot through the minor leagues, they'll get up to the big leagues knowing everything, entitled and expecting everybody to tell them how good they are," Cuddyer said.
