After a 7-2 road trip, the Mets returned home Monday night to open a series with the woeful Reds. They had Noah Syndergaard on the mound and the bats remained powerful as they won again.
The Mets jumped out in front in the first, of course. Michael Conforto homered to right to give the Mets a 1-0 lead.
The Reds tied the game in the third, courtesy of Bill Hamilton. The speedster reached first on a bloop bunt between Syndergaard and Neil Walker.
