The Mets completed a three-game sweep with a 6-1 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies, thanks in part to their bats and some clutch pitching.
Game Recap:
The Phillies jumped on Jon Niese in the first inning with a leadoff triple, followed by a double to give them a 1-0 lead. Niese buckled down and was able to prevent further damage by getting out of the inning.
The score remained 1-0 until the bottom of the 2nd, where Juan Lagares drove in Eric Campbell with a single.
