The Mets will retire Mike Piazza’s No. 31 on Saturday, July 30, during a series against the Colorado Rockies, the team announced Monday.
The team will hold a pregame on-field ceremony at 6:30 p.m. before the scheduled 7:10 game to honor Piazza.
In a weekend-long celebration, the Mets will give away Mike Piazza replica jerseys to all fans in attendance on Friday, July 29, and Mike Piazza bobbleheads to the first 15,000 fans in attendance in the series finale on Sunday, July 31.
