The Mets will bring Matt Reynolds to New York as the roster replacement for the injured Ruben Tejada, Mets sources confirmed.
Apparently the Triple-A shortstop had been in Florida working out with the Mets taxi squad in case of an injury like the one that happened Saturday night.
Reynolds hit .267 in 115 games for Las Vegas this season.
Tejada fractured his right fibula in a controversial collision at second base Saturday night. Chase Utley took him out, flipping him over on the takeout slide in the Mets 5-2 loss to the Dodgers.
Reynolds, who was the top minor leaguer at spring training major league camp, will need to be added to the 40-man roster to be activated.
