Mets to play two exhibition games against Yankees before 2020 season starts

The Mets and Yankees are scheduled to play each other six times during the 2020 season, but they will meet sooner than the August 21 Subway Series opener. They will start exhibition play against each other on July 18 at 7:10 p.m. and play again July 19 at 7:05 p.m. The former game will take place at Citi Field, while the latter will be at Yankee Stadium. Both games will be broadcast on both SNY and YES, and WCBS 880 will carry them on the radio.

Yankees GM Brian Cashman hinted in June that the Mets would be a logical choice to play once exhibition games got underway, given how close they are to each other.
