The Mets will call up Triple-A Las Vegas RH reliever Drew Smith and OF Kevin Kaczmarski prior to Friday's game, reports Anthony DiComo of MLB.com.
They optioned RHP Chris Flexen and RHP Paul Sewald to Triple-A Las Vegas after Thursday's game.
Smith, 24, was acquired from the Rays last season for Lucas Duda. He has a 3.00 ERA and 1.20 WHIP with 28 strikeouts in 30.0 innings (21 appearances) this season for Las Vegas in the hitters haven that is the Pacific Coast League. He also excelled last season for Double-A Binghamton, with a 1.
