Jose Reyes told the Mets he does not expect a promotion until he truly feels prepared for the rigors of the major leagues, MLB.com’s Anthony DiComo reported back on June 28, also adding Reyes would stay in Binghamton until he played in nine back-to-back games.
Well, the results are in, and they’re not pretty. The embattled third baseman-in-training is still nowhere near prepared to play in his first major league baseball game since Oct. 4, 2015 in San Francisco … certainly not based on performance, that is.
Monday, July 4, marked Jose’s ninth consecutive game for the Binghamton B’s, and his eleventh minor league game overall.
