Here are three takeaways from Tuesday’s Mets loss to the Marlins in Miami…
Terry Collins made a number of poor decisions that hurt the team
Mets manager Terry Collins hasn’t made many glaring mistakes so far this season, but he made three big ones during Tuesday’s loss.
1. With Rafael Montero tiring in the sixth inning of a scoreless game, Collins allowed him to face Giancarlo Stanton with first base open (Stanton singled, bringing in the first run of the night), and left him in for three more batters, the last of which brought in another run with an RBI single.
