Mets strike often, hold on late to beat Diamondbacks

Any good vibes from the Mets’ much-needed come from behind victory Thursday evening seemed like they would vanish quickly Friday, as the Diamondbacks struck for three runs in the top of the first off of Luis Severino.

However, the New York offense—led again by Thursday heroes Francisco Lindor and J.D. Martinez—struck right back and continued the barrage all night, leading to a 10-5 victory over Arizona at Citi Field.

The Mets continued their mastery of Jordan Montgomery, responding to the three run top of the first with four of their own in the bottom of the frame.
