The Mets might be particularly high on one relief pitcher: Bryan Shaw. Mike Puma of the Post reported that Shaw is the name he’s hearing mentioned a lot in connection with the Mets.
Shaw has ties to new Mets manager Mickey Callaway, and it wouldn’t be surprising if there were a reunion. Shaw was extremely durable during his time in Cleveland and led the American League in appearances in three out of the last four years. The 30-year-old was 4-6 with a 3.52 ERA in 79 appearances last year with the Indians.
