Mets LHP Steven Matz had a rough start in Colorado on Thursday afternoon, but he settled in before his day ended.
Four straight Rockies reached base to lead off the bottom of the first, with Nolan Arenado sending one over the fence for a three-run homer. After Trevor Story's double, a mound visit was used to calm Matz down. It worked as a double play following a strikeout got him out of the inning.
The second inning wasn't any better for Matz, though, as the Rockies' struck for two more runs.
