The New York Mets have entered into a new sponsorship deal this year that has changed their Spring Training stadium’s name. The deal, which was announced on Thursday morning, is with First Data – a secure payment service – and it will run for the next 10 years. The new stadium name has appropriately been rebranded as First Data Field.
Executives from both the Mets and First Data expressed their excitement in a joint press statement released today:
“It is an exciting time for our organization to have a world-wide leader in their field such as First Data to be our new naming rights partner,” Mets COO Jeff Wilpon commented .
