NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) — The New York Mets and right-hander Stolmy Pimentel have agreed to a minor league contract with an invite to spring training.
The NL champion Mets announced the deal Tuesday.

The 25-year-old Pimentel made eight relief appearances for the Texas Rangers last season. He was 0-1 with a 3.97 ERA in 11 1-3 innings before being sent to Triple-A Round Rock in mid-May.
Pimentel is 2-2 with a 4.39 ERA in 33 appearances over parts of three major league seasons, the first two with Pittsburgh.
