The Mets have signed right-handed pitcher Ben Rowen to minor-league contract with an invite to Major League Spring Training, the team announced.
In 270 career minor league games, the 6-4, 200-pounder is 25-10 with a 1.85 ERA (79 earned runs/384.2 innings) with 43 saves and 301 strikeouts.
In 12 career major league games between the Rangers and Brewers, Rowen is 0-0 with a 6.94 ERA (nine earned runs/11.2 innings) with nine strikeouts and four walks.
Rowen, 28, began last season with Triple-A Buffalo in the Blue Jays organization. In 37 games, he was 0-4 with a 2.
