The Mets have signed right-handed relief pitcher Cam Robinson to a minor league deal and invited him to major league spring training, according to Mike Puma of the Post. The move is the latest in the team’s string of relatively low-profile signings.
The 24-year-old Robinson was drafted by the Brewers in the 23rd round in 2017 and has not yet thrown a pitch at the major league level. In 49 appearances in the minors at the Double-A and Triple-A levels this year, he threw 50.2 innings and had a 5.33 ERA with 10.
