The Mets continued to add to their minor league depth Thursday, signing pitcher Arquimedes Caminero and outfielder Rymer Liriano and giving both invites to spring training.
Caminero has spent the past two seasons in Japan, racking up 40 saves with the Yomiuri Giants. The 31-year-old righty went 1-1 with 11 saves and a 5.79 ERA in 20 games in 2018 before undergoing right elbow surgery. He posted 29 saves and 65 strikeouts in 63.1 innings with the Giants in 2017.
