Mets sign Hartwig, Ramirez to minor league deals

Related Topics: Grant Hartwig, Cincinnati Reds

The Mets brought back two players on minor league deals today, just ten days after not offering them contracts at the non-tender deadline. Alex Ramirez, a former top Mets prospect, and Grant Hartwig, a fungible relief pitcher, were both signed to minor league deals, with Hartwig getting an invitation to spring training.

Hartwig made his MLB debut with the Mets in 2023, appearing in 28 games, throwing 35.1 innings with a 4.84 ERA. Due to undergoing knee surgery for a torn meniscus, Hartwig appeared in just four big league games for the Mets in 2024.
