NEW YORK -- The New York Mets have signed right-hander Buddy Carlyle, left-handers Duane Below and Andrew Barbosa and first baseman/outfielder Marc Krauss to minor league deals. Carlyle, Below and Krauss received invites to major league camp for spring training, while Barbosa will head directly to minor league camp.
Carlyle, 37, went 1-0 with one save and a 5.63 ERA in 11 appearances for the Mets last season. He then landed on the disabled list and ultimately underwent season-ending arthroscopic surgery on his right hip in Vail, Colorado, on June 16.
