The Mets announced on Tuesday that the team has signed its first-round pick from the 2016 First-Year Player Draft, RHP Justin Dunn, along with its third-round pick, 3B Blake Tiberi.
Both Dunn and Tiberi will report to the Brooklyn Cyclones (short-season A) of the New York - Penn League.
In his junior year at Boston College, Dunn, a Long Island native, appeared in 18 games, with eight starts, and went 4-2 with a 2.06 ERA. He issued 18 walks while striking out 72 batters.
Dunn was named a third-team All-American by Baseball America and a semifinalist for the Greg Olson Award, honoring college baseball's breakout player of the year.
