The Mets signed INF/OF Cody Asche to a minor league deal on Thursday and assigned him to Triple-A Las Vegas.
Asche, 27, played in 19 games for the White Sox last season, hitting .105/.177/.175 with one HR in 62 plate appearances.
He played with the Phillies from 2013 to 2016, when he hit .240/.298/.385 with 31 HR in 371 games.
Asche has played third base, first base, and left field during his career.
Triple-A Las Vegas 3B David Thompson recently fractured his hand, and is expected to miss four-to-six weeks.
