The Mets made several roster moves ahead of Friday’s game against the Arizona Diamondbacks. At the top of the list are starting pitcher Christian Scott and third baseman Brett Baty, both of whom are being sent down to Triple-A Syracuse as reported by ESPN’s Jeff Passan.
Scott’s demotion is likely temporary per Anthony DiComo, as the team doesn’t see a six-man rotation fitting with so many off days prior to the London Series from June 8-9. The rookie righty has a 3.90 ERA over five starts for the Mets after starting the season in Syracuse.
