Back in 2015, the Mets brought in Kelly Johnson, alongside Juan Uribe, as the first of a few key moves that propelled them to the National League pennant. They brought up Michael Conforto, (eventually) traded for Yoenis Cespedes, and the rest is history.
Despite his success with the Mets, he took his son’s advice and re-signed with the Braves on a one-year contract last offseason. However, his return to Atlanta did not last long.
