As pitchers and catchers rapidly approach, the New York Mets are still in search of a bullpen arm and a right hand bat in the outfield. The players linked to the Mets have been Steven Pearce and Ryan Raburn. Platooning rookie Michael Conforto with a right hand bat worked well in the playoffs. This appears to be the game plan for the 2016 season.
In December the Mets signed outfielder, Alejandro De Aza. De Aza appears to be the platoon option in centerfield with Juan Lagares.
