Troy Tulowitzki is meeting with his agent on Thursday to discuss whether or not to demand a trade, but the Mets are unlikely to make a strong push for him, Adam Rubin of ESPN reports.
According to Rubin, Mets sources continue to say that a deal for Tulowitzki is unlikely due to his recent injury issues, the money he’s owed through 2020, and the package the Rockies are seeking in return.
Tulowitzki, 30, is owed $114 million in a deal that runs through 2020, and would also receive full no-trade protection if he’s dealt by Colorado.
