Mets say Jake Marisnick is day-to-day with hamstring tightness

Mets outfielder Jake Marisnick, for whom the team traded over the winter, has been dealing with left hamstring tightness. The 29-year-old had been absent from the team’s lineups in a pair of exhibition games with the Yankees over the weekend and its intrasquad lineups for a game happening tonight.

Marisnick spent the past several years with the Astros, most recently hitting .233/.289/.411 with 10 home runs in 318 plate appearances last year, even as the team was operating a sign-stealing system to benefit its hitters—one the cost Carlos Beltran his job as Mets manager.
