The Mets have made a couple of moves public this weekend that will affect the team for the next few games at least. First, the team has placed outfielder Justin Ruggiano on the disabled list with a shoulder injury. This is Ruggiano’s second stint on the DL after landing on it three weeks ago.
Ruggiano will actually be missed as he’s been playing really well when called upon. Versus left-handed pitching, Ruggiano has been starting most of the games as the Mets’ center fielder. He’s hit .350 in eight games with the team since being signed.
